Time for the lightning round! |2:31 AM|
I was out doing chores for Bonnaroo related activities when on a lark I went by the Blood and Tissue Center (blood bank). I signed up for a donation, they were filling in the questionaire, nothing remarkable "Have you had sex with a man even one time in exchange for money while in prison for more than 72 hours will jabbing each other with shared needs in Africa since 1972?" until the tech hit my
blood type#. "Would you like to give a double red blood cell donation today?"
The way she said it made me think I'd somehow hit the "Double Jeopardy" spot on the big board. If I get the next question right, do I double my "good kharma" points? If I fail, do you guys get to suck out all of my blood, leaving a deflated skin, destined to be displayed at "Show and Tell" at a local kindergarten?
"This children is the cast off skin of a Central Texas Geek! It is an example of moulting, like a snake!"
Anyhow it turns out they just suck out a lot more of your blood, pull twice as many red cells and pump the plasma back into you. (Like selling plasma only the give/take is reversed and you don't get any money).
I shed all but my boxers again, this time to get a big inflatable bed under water so I could find the slow leak that has caused me some frustration. I wrestled with this full/queen sized chunk of buoyancy clad only in penguin print shorts, very dignified.
It's not like I'm searching for reasons to ditch my outer garments, it's just expedient sometimes. At some point I'm going to need to come up with a solution to some problem that can only work if I run through a grocery store in just boxers. Then I'll be in trouble.
About 15 hours or so until departure.

Small things. |12:33 AM|
Here's the thing about blogging right now, there's not so much new material that I really want to express for the whole world to read. That is, it's minutiae, time line entries really. The sort of thing I usually glance over on other people's blogs.
God this layout is pretty ugly. I keep playing around meaning to fix it but then I get distracted and never upload the new pages.
This past Friday was the Naked Empire logo party. I had futzed around with some ideas but most of them looked like hell, so I skipped out on bringing them. Played some pool volleyball, got a woman's number.
As far as current activities go, I'm prepping for the trip to Bonnaroo. I'm looking for a job for extra cash, and I got a couple calls from recruiters giving me insulting offers.
Saturday night Erin(Maybe326) A. showed up into town. A nice lady.
My mouth hurts. A lot. As of Thursday I hadn't slept properly in a week. I mention this to you, the public, now that it's not an issue anymore. My left tooth of issue quit hurting the other day, which is welcome, but speaks of much, much worse issues.
Anyhow, speaking of bonnaroo, I've been busy with little arts and crafts projects. My favorite right now is the flag pole, which is currently being tested in the front yard. Tested? I took a 2 foot section of re bar, and hammered that into Mother Earth. I then put a 2 foot chunk of metal pipe over that, and hammered that into the ground (though not as far) over that went PVC pipe with the flag and the beacon light I'm using. The beacon light claims to be "Visible from 3 miles away" but I'm sure they mean "Absolute darkness". This thing is going to be a beacon so that our camp can be found from great distance, as it's going to be a tent city up in Tennessee, or so I am told.
There's a "knitting" club I attend on Sundays most weeks. Got cancelled this week, last week was very weird. It's not like there was a lot of fallout from last week or that any fingers were bitten. This is just a timeline entry, doesn't mean much to the rest of the world. A reminder of recent actions that might fade from memory, like visits to Academy that blend together, or big maps of small towns with bad lighting and overly large cave structures.
Worked on a deck some more with Uncle James.
