oops |12:42 PM|
I'm a pretty fast guy sometimes, certainly not the fastest, but when people drop stuff I can usually catch it before it hits the ground. Sometimes, I can move faster than I should and an injury occurs, usually a pulled muscle or tendon. This past evening I woke up in the middle of a dream and since I was reacting to something in the dream, I was bringing my arms up into a defensive gesture. They were behind my head, and I was moving them at the fastest possible speed. My goddamn left arm's rotator cuff is now strained, it hurt like a bitch and I couldn't get back to sleep for ages.
Wah, wah, wah. The worlds smalled violin is playing just for me. I bring this story up because I'm happy to know I am still capable of incredibly swift movement. It may come in handy. Today my headaches started at a stunning 12pm. That's fantastic. Time for more advil.
My cat wouldn't stop bitching at me last night even after I gave her food. She's such a selfish bitch, so I ended up giving her about twice the normal amount of food. Normally, this is okay because she won't eat to excess. Too bad this evening had to be the exception. Later in the evening, I was awoken by the melodius HORSK noise of my cat vomiting, right by my bed. "Fine" I thought. "She'll stop and I can go back to bed." Just as I was drifting off again "HORSK! HOOOORRRK!" came the vomit noise once more. I tried to ignore it, but it was on the third goddamn time she started puking that I had to throw her into the bathroom. What am I going to do, give her some pepto bismol? Better that she vomits on tile, and is near replacement food. Goddamn vomit machine.

Sing to the mountain, sing to the sea |9:13 AM|
That song, Laika, that I mentioned? The one I apparently sang while drunk?
Here is the live version. It used to be my favorite song. It's by a band called Moxy Fruvous. They're weird.
Cricket in the office. Cricket in the office.
Oh, according to my boss, if you take the number of blogs/diaries created last year, and divide it by the number of minutes in a year, you get .98 blogs created per minute. That's nuts.

Chernobyl Jonesin' |9:07 AM|
My boss is trying to quit smoking. I'm impressed by this, but it is making work a bit harder. He was a very avid smoker, he was very good at it. Some people can dance, some people can play the piano, Vid could smoke. True, he has other talents, but smoking was part of his foundation as a human being. This has led to some very serious withdrawl symptoms. Fearing for my life, I tried a variety of things to keep him in control.
I fed him a bunch of Hostess Ding Dongs to take care of his increased appetite and oral fixation, but after a whole lot of those he stopped eating them. He was drinking an energy drink for most of the morning (Which took care of his body's crave for the chemical stimulant that nicotine used to provide) but that too ran out after a while. Running out of options, I ended up getting my hands on another very powerful stimulant. The risks with this solution can best be described using nuclear reactor symbolism. The reactor is fucked, you know it is, so you build a big concrete containment shell around it, and fill it with water. You know at some point the containment will fail, and the resulting disaster will be so much worse than before. I was trying to keep him sane long enough to get to 5pm, so I could flee the scene.
I survived, though barely.
The whole office is filled with printers today. It's really obnoxious. I was thinking about making a photojournal at somepoint, but all it would be during the day would be my work computer, than my home computer/kitchen. That'd be mind-killing, I'm certain.

Christ, being sick at work sucks. |1:08 PM|
I don't what to say other than the title. I do have this damn Wild Stallion drink. This is amazing stuff. Geeeez, it's already 1:00pm? Time is flying down here.
I wonder if zusty has come back from her trip yet.
I've run out of things to listen to in my car. If you folks have anything that you're enjoying at the moment, please let me know. I can dig the silence in my car (since it's so unusual, that damn back window made an incredible damned difference) but it's going to get tiresome, I'm sure. oof. My belly hurts. Tum tum, stomachy, abdomen, blarg.
It's taking a lot of effort not to retch. And my lips are tingling, I wonder what that means.

In lieu of an actual update, I will place this link to a bizzare anime parody site
here in hopes that Zusty will see and enjoy it. Other people who view anime may enjoy it, but only if they have both viewed said series, as well as having played a lot of zelda. In which case, the joke "It's a secret to everyone" will be fucking hysterical.
