Cookie impact |8:12 PM|
Ah, just heard from Sulzanti. The cookies arrived intact, and still delicious. I am pleased.
The guy who wrote fight club also wrote a book called "Survivor" (Among others) which I thought was fantastic. I heartily recommend it.

I managed to acquire adderall. I almost started stabbing the pharmacy people to death with my nose, after the 60 minute wait in line. "Oh please, that's nothing" you might say, well, I had dropped the prescription off 4 hours previously, yet no one could find it. After scouring the place for ages, I think they quietly started trying to fill it with me standing in line, without my knowledge. Oh, then they started complaining about the huge doses my doctor had prescribed

Them:"The insurance company won't pay for this"
me: "Ah, that's all right, they don't usually. I'll pay cash"
Them: "It's too big, they won't pay. I have to call them"
me: "Don't bother, I'll pay. They won't"
them: "Well, it's such a large prescription, that the company is making me call the doctor"
me: "Forget my insurance company, they don't pay for crap!" (I started subtly cursing at this point)
them: "Well, it's such a large prescription, I've never filled one so big before. I have to call the doctor"
me: "How long?"
Them: "20 minutes"

But she never picked up the phone. So, apparently my doctor is psychic and could be contacted without a phone, and was able to provide verification of my right to my goods and or services. I really wanted to exchange money for them.
The prescription was so large, I was given the distribution bottle. Like, the bottle the company itself sends Eckerd. I was proud.
I am also, A FORCE OF NATURE.
Life is good.

I'm calling you from Alderaan |8:18 AM|
I did forget to bring this up. On Saturday, when Vorpal, Erin, and I went to go see "Mutant Aliens" we got out at around midnight. We decided to go see the 'Subs at a club called Black Cats. Erin and I had been planning to go out there a week from now, but it seemed like a good a night as any, so we skipped our way downtown. It was the police barricades and cop car we noticed first, as we pranced merrily. We found the burned out husk of a building, surrounded by demolition signs. We quickly realized that this in fact was our destination, the black cats' had clearly burned down. It was at this point that Derek and I launced into a familiar dialog:
Cecil: (Whining) Where's the club?
Vorpal: (In best Han Solo impression) That's what I'm trying to tell you, kid, the whole club has been totally blown away.

Needing answers, (and a drink) we headed to the Ritz. A couple dollars in drink fees and tips later, we had our story. An electrical fire had broken out that very day, 4:30am to be exact, and the upper floor had collpased onto the lower one. No one was hurt, but the club was a total loss. Live jazz, good swing, and the Satan's Cheerleaders were without a normal forum. I'm sure they'll rebuild it, the first black cat's was one step above "Legos" anyway.

Let's review |8:03 AM|
Sheesh, where was I?

Saturday, Erin came into town. We chilled out, shopped for food, I showed her around town. We picked Derek up and caught a showing of Plympton's "Mutant Aliens". Completely ridiculous, but entertaining nonetheless. I need to get digital cable back up and running in order for the sound to work on the TV.
Sunday was a damned busy day for feeling like a lazy sunday. Movies were rented, a park was explored, another movie was seen for free (hooray for old passes) haircuts were picked up from the haircut store. We cooked, we organized, we were totally beat by the end of the so called slow sunday.

Now it's monday. sheesh. Erin has the car, and I showed her around the town enough that she can find amusement while I'm at work. I feel bad leaving her, but I have to work or I will starve. I've got some time off later this week, so it's less obnoxious.

For so much, I managed to crush it into a tiny little update. Guess you had to be there.

Goddammit. This works now. It's because the directory name had a period in it. What a DRAG.
So much to write. Tell you later, as I have a visitor.
