Of enemies |12:27 AM|
Vid says I'm too nice a person to have an enemy. He says this cupcake thing prooves it. Genuine anger towards another human being is simply not a natural part of my behavior. I've had rivals, I've even had a nemesis. But I don't think I've had an honest-to-goodness enemy. Someone who wanted only my failure, and someone I could only wish bad things upon.

It's been a pricey week. I just paid a cable bill, that was incredible. I pre-paid my phone for this month, but the next bill is coming up. Christ, I hope I get the job at blockbuster, and in a hurry. I'll be the bestest employee they've ever had, and I promise not to say to a customer "You know, there's a 99% chance I'm more intelligent than you. Why don't you pay your late fee so we can get on with our lives?"
Weeeee

Life |1:37 PM|
I'll bet it's pretty outside today. I know that the lightning bugs have been out, I've watched them rise for the past couple of evenings. Though I only currently have one surviving daisy plant, it is thriving. The latest seeds should be germinating at this point, and I'll have some sunflowers. They grow like weeds, apparently.
My cat is still bitching about the diet I have her on, but she's much more active and less of a lard ass cat.

I myself will be working out more, since I now have electricity. A second job is going to mess with my schedule in a fierce way, so I think these updates are going to fall off. What's unfortunate is I'll likely have more to talk about once I break my routine, so hell, maybe they'll increase. But I'm going to have less time. I'll be doing less napping though. Those quick snacks of sleep after work and during slow periods. They may have taken the place of real sleep for the last couple months, but changes must be made.
I wonder if those sticks of butter are still good, in the fridge.

A note: |9:22 PM|
While I am still an idiot, the reason my power was still cut was NOT missed payments. I was current. But the order to cut the power had already been sent. Since I paid the bill at the grocery store, the tech was never notified. I spent a great deal of money getting it turned back on today. Never-a-fucking-gain.

Perishable on contact |8:42 AM|
Power's off. I missed this month's bill when I was paying the electric company enormous sums of money, so out go the lights. God DAMMIT. I'm headed to blockbuster today to apply for a job there. The power goes back on today. Stupid Stupid Stupid me.
Every fucking bill that can be paid will be paid on time. It's time to rebuild my damn credit. When I have a second job, that's one thing I will do for certain. I'll get the nastiest, meanest credit card out there and kick its ass.
I was curled up in a ball on the floor, wearing boxers and one of the last ice cubes out of my fridge trying to figure out what decisions had been wrong, what choices incorrect, to lead me to this point. I will never run into problems this stupid again.

A friend of mine was having an incredibly shitty day at work, the kind that makes you want to quit right then, damned be the consequences. This same coworker, a long time ago, had done something nice for me and cheered me up enough to keep me from quitting. So, I found out when they were getting off of work, and showed up with a card that said "congratulations for finishing the day!" along with a cupcake and candles. I waited outside the door, and the call center let out. It was then I found out that she had left work about 10 minutes early, and had gone "somewhere". Draaag. I gave the card to her boyfriend, sang happy birthday to a random RoadRunner employee and then ate the cupcake. Now I have a box of cupcakes that I guess will be dinner. How ghastly.

Soul of a new roll of tape |9:55 AM|
Woven of new research, hope and talent, my work took a month to finally fail. Previous jobs had not survived more than a day, and even a talented artisan from out of state could not construct something to last half a week. I speak of none other than the tape on my broken car window. I had found a way to tape my window shut in such a way that it did not blow open in a day, "Do not tape into the wind!" I realized. Up until today, my car had been far quieter. I still need to take the car in for service, really. But I just can't afford it.

I'm looking at getting a crappy security gig, since I'm trying to avoid retail for my second job. This isn't looking promising but I don't have much choice. I wish I could learn something from all of this, but other than "You need more money" I can't see anything. Maybe "Everything in your life is ultimately your responsibility" but I knew that already. What a drag, it is, getting up.

I've decided that every wedensday, I'm going to switch my crappy internet radio station over to the collection of unusual love songs I've been building. If you want to listen, the change will occur at around 6pm tonight, central time. Listen.

Part time Stuff |9:55 PM|
Went by barnes and noble today. I put an application in for part time work but it appears they may not be hiring anymore. Dammit! I'm going by Williams Sonoma tommorow afternoon, and I might have to extend my search further. One issue is that they asked for previous wages on the Barnes and Noble app, and I've been making more than they likely would offer since I got to Texas. I only want part time, though, so maybe they won't hold it against me. I wanted to avoid retail, but that was back when I still had pride and an ego. Feeling that wonderful financial hammer smash my teeth in cured me of that.
Memorial Day was celebrated at my folks' house. Fajitas and hammocks, these are good things.
I'm still waiting for legal clearence to sell the pictogram T-shirts. The new site is essentially ready:

Pictoz

But the store isn't uploaded yet, neither is the story. I'm holding off on full functionality until I'm legally allowed to sell. This is a drag, this waiting.

Medicine Ball'd |10:10 PM|
On Saturday I went to the birthday celebration of some friends, Allison and Sabrina. We were at a couple bars, and I managed to not spend more than $10, despite a devastating $5 cover at the Speak Easy. I remember back when I had enough money to go in for swing dancing lessons. Such is life.
We once again ended up at a gay bar, where I had my ass grabbed on numerous occasions. Never, ever, EVER go onto the dance floor of a gay bar with your truly homosexual friend unless you, yourself, are quite gay. After the experience of the dance floor, I had to go dance with a nice friendly woman for a little while to stabilize myself. I did have my shirt yanked up, to show off my piercings, but luckily that was by a woman. All in all, I think I've shown my acceptance of alternative lifestyles, and am clearly not a member of the homosexual community.

This past sunday I was at a benefit concert for a victim of random violence. Apparently, after an attack in a parking lot, they had to staple his head back together. Emergency brain surgery is not cheap (duh) and several incredible bands played to raise money. By purchasing a beer for the woman selling Flame Trick Subs merchandise, I was introduced to members of the band. Including "Miss Fortune" whose real name turned out to be Kerry. Nice people, but they were busy setting up for the show. Drug cow played, and they are incredible. I'd be suprised if they don't get a legitimate career out of all this at some point.
Also present were the Satan's Cheerleaders who lend an air of unreality to everything. I think it'd be great to hire 'em for the next bachelor party in this area, but only if they showed up to kick the living crap out of the party goers. It'd be the proper way to end the night of debauchery, a hideous beating by a group of tuff grrl cheerleaders. With nightsticks.
