Tantalus has rent control |9:36 AM|
I was offered, last night, use of an apartment
located here. You will note that this is in New York, a few blocks from Central Park. Now, I am ignorant of New York real estate prices but that seems to be Right There, as in, RIGHT frickin' THERE.
The price for this? $500 for the place, until the end of September. Sonavabitch.
Sadly, this apartment will not be available after September, and the price applies only because it is not currently in use. If I had been offered a place in new York for $250 a month I would not be typing this I would be packing.
The purpose of staying there would be to find my own place and a permanent job. I'm having to move anyway, and moving in-town a few months after the last time I moved is really fucking annoying. Moving some place new is more exciting.
Among the many problems with such a plan is that the debt spider is right over my head.
BRUSH MY TEETH
I don't know anyone in New York, besides an old computer teacher, and my possible land lord. Which is the classier one, East or West Egg? I am from the midwest(mostly) so I could, perhaps, fall in with a bootlegging millionaire adulterer, watch people get hit by cars, and deal with a lot of yellow.
