I just got done hauling my bed from the leasing office to my apartment. The box was enormous, but it wasn't as heavy as I had feared. Once I opened the box (As I lacked a truck due to poor planning) I found components that were just a hair too large to transport in my car, but not so heavy that I couldn't lift them.
After a bit of wrestling in my car, it became very clear they weren't going to fit.
I wonder how many people saw me huffing and puffing, bent over with large chunks of metal on my back, all the while singing "Oh my darlin' Clementine"? While running I could only think that that my thick polo and long pants were too heavy to be doing this in Texas, even if it was chillier than usual. Still, I think removing either would have gotten a lot of the wrong attention, possibly blinding people from the glare off of my skin.
I'm amazed a bed could make me so damned tired.
