Time Gum |3:57 PM|
I dreamed of time travel without a machine. The interface was ridiculous, and it was more like commuting instead of tourism. People moved freely back and forth through time, and even got caught up in scams, real estate deals and work camps independent of the passage of time. Met up with a machine that preferred to travel backwards in time.
I had taken to simply moving backwards at the same rate of time as one would go forwards, so that's how I stumbled across this device. It was disguised as a vending machine, its outward design changing to meet the times (Candy or cigarettes, what have you). It did not understand gambling as a way to make money, but was fascinated by the practice, and would often throw away huge sums of cash. It was making money through some method, I don't know how. (Probably selling its contents).
The way you travelled in time (at least for me, other folks had different methods) involved a chewing gum. Seriously. I don't have any idea what that means.
